At 12:49 AM CFD Engine 98 was first to arrive at what would escalate to a 5-11 Alarm with Specials and an EMS Plan 3. The fire was on the 39th floor of a 54 story residential high rise built in 1966 containing 407 units. Residents were led to safety by the CFD and many civilians and firefighters suffered from smoke, exhaustion and burns. The extra alarm fire was struck out at 3:32 AM on the orders of 2-1-11.
