- Wirecast: Wirecast is great for professional quality streams for live events and business presentations that also supports h.264 encoding and many other features!
- Macam: This is a driver for USB webcams on Mac OS X. It allows hundreds of USB webcams to be used by many Mac OS X video-aware applications. The aim is to support as many webcams as possible. In addition, macam also supports downloading of images from some dual-mode cameras. macam especially tries to support those cameras not supported by Apple or by their manufacturers.
- Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro: A little pricey but the quality of this webcam is great.
- Sound Flower: This is virtual audio device that provides an easy and simple way for Max/MSP and other applications to send and receive audio to and from any other application. Running with very low latency and CPU usage, Soundflower allows each client application to use its usual buffer size.
